On Tuesday, January 17th at 7:00 PM, students of the 6th grade beginning band, beginning orchestra, and jazz band will be performing in their first concert of the 2016-2017 school year! The concert will be held in the Sequoyah Middle School Gymnasium, and all students in these ensembles are expected to attend. Students should plan to arrive no later then 6:30 to grab their music, instruments, and be ready to perform by 7:00. Preferred concert attire is all black:
- Long black pants (please no jeans, sweats, or track pants), a long black skirt, or a black dress (must cover the knees when seated)
- A black, long sleeved, “nice” top (no t-shirts or sweatshirts)
- Black shoes with black socks.
- NOTE: if families have any trouble acquiring the necessary concert clothing, please contact me as soon as possible.
Families and friends are encouraged to attend. Please help us celebrate the accomplishments of these young musicians! If you are unable to attend, please inform Mr. Leslie (band) or Mr. Walworth (orchestra) immediately! Students unable to attend will be given an additional performance assignment.
